Cabernet Franc 2016 – Gere Tamás és Zsolt Pincészete
A Cabernet Franc Villányban megtalálta második otthonát. Szívesen nyúlnak ezért a fajtához a helyi borászok. Ezekből készítik legszebb tételeiket, de ami külön különlegessége a Villányi Franc-nak, hogy eredetvédelmi kritériumok mentén kerülnek feldolgozásra, és önálló fajtaként még világszinten is ritkaságnak számítanak. Mivel a Cabernet Franc-t leginkább házasításokhoz használják, így a Villányi Franc egy külön piaci rést tölthet be a borpiacon.
Gere Tamás és Zsolt Pincészetéből kikerült 2016-os franc egy szárazabb, tanninban gazdag értelmezése a franc-nak. Lekváros, leginkább a szilvalekvárra emlékektető ízjegyek és a hordó pörkölt aromái dominálnak.
Gere Zsolt az iskolapadból kiugorva kezdte el fokozatosan átvenni a Gere Tamás és Zsolt Pincészetet, mint a borászcsalád fiatal tagja. A pincészet már a rendszerváltás környékén megalapozta hírnevét, azóta is kimagasló minőség mellett készítik boraikat. A Nagy tételek mellett azonban reagálnak az új piaci trendekre is, és 3 termékcsaláddal vannak jelen a borpiacon. A hagyományos ízvilág mellett megjelentek a fiatalosabb tételek, amit a kis tételben készülő, hosszan érlelt nagy borok koronáznak meg. A borászat abból a szempontból is szimpatikus, hogy fokozatosan tértek át az ökológiai gazdálkodásra, ahol a biodiverzitás és a talaj „egészsége” van a középpontban a fenntarthatóság érdekében.
