RedY 2020 – Gere Tamás és Zsolt Pincészete
A RedY egy közösségi bor, újhullámos kezdeményyezés, hogy a villányi testes vörösborok mellett megjelenjen valami igazán könnyed és fiatalos vörösbor is. A villányi borászok ezzel nemcsak az Y-generáció tagjait próbálják megszólítani, hanem a portugieser renoméját is igyekeznek helyre állítani. A RedY ugyanis egy portugieser alapú bor, bizonyos kritériumok mentén, de azért valamennyi szabadsággal készíthetik el a villányi borászok.
gere Zsolt 2020-as RedY-je nagyon jól össze van rakva. 60% portugieserből, 30% kékfrankosból és 10% kadarkából áll össze. A portuieser adja a szép meggyes gyümölcsösséget, a kékfrankos a tartalmat és a kadarka az enyhe lekvárosságot, amitől annyira jól csúszik ez a bor. Változatossága és ízgazdasága miatt sokaknak kedvére lehet ez a bor.
Gere Zsolt az iskolapadból kiugorva kezdte el fokozatosan átvenni a Gere Tamás és Zsolt Pincészetet, mint a borászcsalád fiatal tagja. A pincészet már a rendszerváltás környékén megalapozta hírnevét, azóta is kimagasló minőség mellett készítik boraikat. A Nagy tételek mellett azonban reagálnak az új piaci trendekre is, és 3 termékcsaláddal vannak jelen a borpiacon. A hagyományos ízvilág mellett megjelentek a fiatalosabb tételek, amit a kis tételben készülő, hosszan érlelt nagy borok koronáznak meg. A borászat abból a szempontból is szimpatikus, hogy fokozatosan tértek át az ökológiai gazdálkodásra, ahol a biodiverzitás és a talaj „egészsége” van a középpontban a fenntarthatóság érdekében.
